Subject: Does Showtime's Dexter Trash Lionel Trains in Lost Boys Episode?

I am not sure if this was intentional but Showtime's most recent episode of the extremely popular television series Dexter did a major number on Lionel's reputation as a safe and enjoyable hobby. If you didn't see the episode entitled "Lost Boys" I strongly urge you to especially if you are a loyal collector of Lionel trains. Simply put, the episode highlights scenes where a serial killer about to kill a 10 year child wants the child to play with a Lionel train set and succumb to a submissive state before being murdered. It horrifying and sickening all at the same time and one can't help but equate Lionel trains with serial killers - a toy of choice for all killers. Unlike Lionel's appearance in the Sopranos, the usage of the Lionel train set in the Dexter episode goes over the top! Perhaps any publicity is good publicity. I'm not so sure but if I were Lionel I'd be looking to do some serious damage control. Just my two cents. Please share your thoughts....
