Subject: Neon Lights stops TMCC Lionel Locomotive dead in its tracks

Ok. I really need to understand what is going on when a TMCC Locomotive suddenly stops for no apparent reason. As the pictures illustrates, the locomotive appears to be running perfectly when it suddenly runs under a Neon Light and comes to a complete standstill. Using the handheld command controller the horn and whistle still work, but no movement is possible. This problem reminds me of radio signal interference from an overhead track but in this instance it is a neon light. When the neon light is turned off, the train runs like normal. I am very confused and would like to run my TMCC trains with the Neon Light on. Ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Same train seen without camera flash; headlights, whistle and bell still work however engine will not move even when signals are sent from TMCC command controller.
